Driver attentiveness monitoring will be required in order to realize certain levels of autonomous driving. Kyocera´s driver monitoring camera solution allows for safety relevant driver status monitoring like head pose and eye state (open/closed), as well as new HMI-solutions such as face recognition and gaze tracking / control.

Kyocera is developing advanced algorithms to be integrated into the camera module (ASIC) or separate customer hardware.
